为了观测狮子座流星雨选择地点，我们北京天文同好会11月8日晚一行八人来到北京西北的延庆县的康庄镇，进行了一次流星雨的观测。

此时，正是南金牛座流星雨极大期中，因此我们针对该流星雨重点观测。从8日晚21点多至9日晨4点半，前后历时7个多小时的观测活动，取得了一定的观测数据。下面是简单数据报表。

值得一提的是，在观测期间，我们注意到有5颗流星是从1999J3流星雨将会出现的辐射点附近射出的。我们将它们也进行了记录。

如今晚上温度很低，凌晨收时，所有仪器设备上全都结满了白霜。预计狮子座流星雨期间温度将会更低，提醒届时有志观测的人一定要多穿衣服。
